Chief purpose of this position in support of above mission orgoal Number of Months12 We are seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to head theDivision of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at VCU Health. Thisperson will be responsible for setting the vision and transformingpractice, research and education with an integrated plastic surgeryresidency in a premier program with active programs in microsurgery, reconstruction, comprehensive burn care, hand surgery,pediatric craniofacial and cosmetic surgery. This division isstaffed by 7 surgeons and 8 nurse practitioners and physicianassistants dedicated to providing the highest quality health careservices. It is also home to the Evans-Haynes Burn Center, theoldest civilian burn center in the country. Verified as the onlyLevel 1 adult and pediatric burn center in the region, theEvans-Haynes Burn Center provides interdisciplinary and holisticcare for acute burns and the reconstructive needs of burnsurvivors. The division supports the very active level 1 traumacenter and the Massey Cancer Center.This position is a collateral, non-tenure track faculty position inthe area of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The faculty membershould have clinical interests in microsurgery, complex woundmanagement, burn care and general plastic surgery. In addition tochairman responsibilities, the faculty member will support thedivision in teaching responsibilities at the VCU Medical Center andthe McGuire VAMC .
